Calling Maggie May

Another instalment of the Anonymous Diaries Series

Storyline: A dark and edgy first-person cautionary tale about how one girl’s seemingly minor choices quickly spiraled into a life as a sex worker in the tradition of Go Ask Alice and Lucy in the Sky. She had a normal life, until one small decision changed everything. Suddenly, there were new possibilities and new experiences. But not all of those experiences were good.

This one was dark! Oh my gosh! I just couldn’t wrap my mind around most of what was happening!! It was Terrible! – not the book, the book itself was good a bit slower to start than the previous ones I read, but still good – what was terrible was the pain and suffering this girl suffered! I know she’s a fictional girl but can’t believe this actually happens to people! Selling your body for sex and being used and raped and degraded and in the process being made to feel that you’re worth absolutely nothing, It’s absolutely terrifying and gut wrenching to think of people – women, men, young and old- being stuck in this type of life!

These books are so eye opening, they make you realize what some other people go through in life and it’s just so emotionally powerful. If you ever get a chance to read all of these anonymous diaries books you must do it.. It’s just oh my gosh.

I rate this book

7/10
