The Mortal Instruments City of Bones

The First book in Cassandra Claire’s The Mortal Instruments Series

Storyline: When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. And she’s more than a little startled when the body disappears into thin air. Soon Clary is introduced to the world of the Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of warriors dedicated to driving demons out of our world and back to their own. And Clary is introduced with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is almost killed by a grotesque monster. How could a mere human survive such an attack and kill a demon? The Shadowhunters would like to know…

Even though I’ve read all these books before, I’ve graciously accepted the task of re reading them just for purposes of reviewing them on the blog – who am I kidding it’s a pleasure to re read these!! – I’m also reading them with my husband right now, so these might not be posted as often as a normal series is on my blog but you guys will just have to be patient!

The first chapter however I didn’t like, and if you’re one of those people that read the first chapter of a book in a store to determine weather you’d like it or not – yes I do know people that do that – this book would not be a good book for you to do that with! The first chapter was scattered between three different points of view and was just confusing… But That aside and moving on… This book is one of my favourites!! it’s fun and witty and fast paced and there’s so much action and a bit of mystery and problem solving and issues that arise at the right times and it’s just such a fantastic book. The writing it clean and easy to read and it’s just a complete joy! I would Highly recommend this book to EVERYONE!!
