The Mortal Instruments City of Glass

The Third book in Cassandra Claire’s Mortal Instruments series

Storyline:To save her mother’s life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters—never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight. As Clary uncovers more about her family’s past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he’s willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City—whatever the cost?

These books continue to be fabulous! And although I liked this one least of the three I’ve read so far, I still loved it!  Now I won’t lie, the beginning of the book was slow as hell. clary was particularly whiny at the beginning of this book, and it got quite annoying for a bit. but honestly I don’t blame her, after going through what she’s been through I’d be whiny too… But by about half way through it started picking up, then all of a sudden BAM! Shit got real! Everything started happening at the same time. and from that point on it was quite action packed and fast paced and fun! Except when one of my favourite characters died – not saying who – that part kinda sucked….. But Specific Issues get solved and then more questions arise. I truly do love these books! I highly recommend them!
