After You

A novel by Jojo Moyes, Sequel to Me Before You

Storyline:  Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the transformative six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. When an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can’t help but feel she’s right back where she started.

So I don’t think this book was truly needed, I was fine with the ending of the last one.. But I’m not upset that this one exists, it was interesting to read. My initial thought for the beginning of this one was ‘what’s going on why is she working at a bar and why isn’t she living life to the fullest like Will waned her to?’ But then I also thought ‘how would anyone even be able to try to live life to the fullest if the one they loved wasn’t there to live that life with you?’
Then the accident happened and I was surprised, but the story was quite slow starting off, then the twist to the story in chapter five I DID NOT SEE COMING! And it was interesting at first, but then I just started to feel really sorry for Lou.. Like I felt REALLY bad for her. She just seemed so pathetic and so aimless the whole time, this girl could seriously not get a break! The final few chapters though were quite nice, when some things started working out and things started looking up.. The ending i think could have been different, I wasn’t happy with it but meh. It was overall a good book I’d probably recommend it… Although any book with words like

“I felt an odd responsibility towards his nuts.” I would probably recommend! Lol well especially if you read the first one.

I rate this book
