Storyline: Duty, desire, love, and purpose. Who we want to be and whom we want in our lives. As Susan prepares for the birth of her first child, she contemplates her role as a mother, wife, and partner on the family farm through the lives of the women closest to her. In a world of wanting and waiting, is fulfillment always beyond reach?

This book intrigued me! It’s set in Rural Manitoba (where I’m from) and I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, i love when I have actually been to places that are in books!!! I loved the feeling it gave me, reading the book felt like home..it’s hard to explain, but I could imagine the weathers and the fields and the smells and the geese! I thought this book was fantastic! It was interesting, There was quite a few impactful moments and quotes that make you really think about the way you live your life. Yet at the same time it was absolutely funny! Susan has a witty and charming attitude which I loved! It’s a short, fast and light read. Which is perfect for trips, the beach or even just when you don’t want to read something really thick dense. I honestly couldn’t put it down, I finished it in only one day so that shows how captivating it was. I truly really loved it. I would highly recommend this book!

I rate this book

8/10
