When all else fails: Chin up, Tits out

The second Chin Up Tits Out Novel by Miranda Oh

Storyline: In book 2 of the “Chin Up Tits Out” series, Hadley is elated that her husband is finally coming home after years of fighting with immigration. Assuming that her “happily ever after” is about to begin, she dives in head first at being the best wife ever. An unexpected diagnosis sends her into a downward spiral. No amount of wine can help prepare her for this new journey. They say it takes a village to raise a child, well…Hadley is in dire need of her village to help her get through the storm that lies ahead. Follow Hadley in her adventure as she deals with disease; addiction; and a dark, twisted sense of humor. Because when life sucks so bad, sometimes laughing is easier than crying

After reading the first one I felt like I needed to know more about what happened to Hadley and Her new husband! I was really excited to read this book because Hadley is a sassy fun and enthusiastic character especially with her inner voice!! The prologue confused the heck out of me.. I had no idea what was going on… but once I got to the first chapter it was fine and made sense again –the prologue didn’t make sense until later in the book though– I liked that she still had her sassy inner voice!…however I’m sorry to say that this one wasn’t nearly as fun as the last one.. it was actually quite depressing to be honest, you think the character is getting her happily ever after at the beginning of the book, then they lose their dog then someone gets horribly sick and even afterwards it doesn’t really end well for her… I didn’t like the storyline, the overall plot is a standard “almost a happy ending” plot, but they usually have a semi happier ending than this…but the ending was horrible. I know there’s probably another book coming but honestly that’s not a good way to leave the ending for the next one…

I would suggest skipping this book altogether and stop after the first one and honestly just pretend that’s where the story ends. Pretend he gets his Immegration clearance –which he does– and they live happily ever after.  I bought this book to support a local author, and luckily i got it as an Ebook.. if I had bought this as a paper copy I would have probably honestly got rid of it. Because I usually don’t like keeping such negativity in my house..  i would absolutely reccomend the first one, but not this one.

I rate this book

2/10
