The Anatomy of Cheating

A Novel by Nesly Clerge

Storyline: Lust, deception, betrayal, and their inevitable outcomes weave a web nearly impossible to escape in Nesly Clerge’s latest novel. Chelsea Hall is certain her husband is cheating. Again. How far will a wife go when her adulterous husband pushes her to the edge? Some stop at the cliff’s edge. Others leap into the abyss. Garrett Hall wants what and who he wants. His detachment from their relationship leads Chelsea to seek what she needs elsewhere, and onto a path that leads to bliss. What begins as a dream-come-true soon becomes a nightmare when the line between who is innocent and who is guilty soon blurs. Until the horrifying truth becomes clear. And, the question becomes, Who will survive?

Although it was sorta kinda maybe ‘sexy’ in a very trashy way, it just wasn’t all that good.. I was not a fan of the writing, first of all there’s one hundred and seventy six chapters.. every chapter is two to eight pages long. Which annoyed me… there were many times that they could have mashed up a few chapters into one longer one.. and the scripting and conversations between characters seems quite forced ninety percent of the time. I didn’t really like any of the characters they’re all so shallow and hypocritical..except maybe Kimberlie, But I don’t think that counts. They were all jerks and cheaters and horrible humans. Something about reading this book just makes you feel really insecure and depressed while reading it. There’s so much body shaming. And with the addition of horrible messed up relationships and everyone cheating on everyone and so much deception and too much bad types of drama. It’s definitely not a feel good type of book. And the ending was just plain dumb. I wouldn’t recommend it.. no.. just. No.

I rate this book
