The Third book in the Wake trilogy by Lisa McMann

Storyline: Things should be great for Janie—she has graduated from high school and is spending her summer with Cabel, the guy she’s totally in love with. But deep down she’s panicking about how she’s going to survive her future when getting sucked into other people’s dreams is really starting to take its toll. Things get even more complicated when she meets her father for the very first time—and he’s in a coma. As Janie uncovers his secret past, she begins to realize that the choice thought she had has more dire consequences than she ever imagined.

Nope. Didn’t get much better. It took forever to get into this book.. with every book in this series it gets harder to want to read them (especially with how the writing style is and how much it annoys me) but it was also written differently this time too, it’s like she gave her format to someone who never read her books gave them a brief rundown of the first two and asked them to write a third book. It had almost nothing to do with the first two. It was too slow and jumped over a lot of stuff and skipped back and forth… the characters were really crappy in this one, they’re nothing like they were in the first two.. it made me hate them. The ending was so anticlimactic, i didn’t like that ending at all.. nothing was even really solved. It ends basically where it started…I feel relieved that I’m finally done this series… which isn’t a good thing honestly. I probably wouldn’t recommend this series. It was disappointing.

I rate this book

2/10
