Clockwork Princess

The Third book in The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Claire

Description: A net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. Mortmain plans to use his Infernal Devices, an army of pitiless automatons, to destroy the Shadowhunters. He needs only one last item to complete his plan: he needs Tessa Gray. Charlotte Branwell, head of the London Institute, is desperate to find Mortmain before he strikes. But when Mortmain abducts Tessa, the boys who lay equal claim to her heart, Jem and Will, will do anything to save her. For though Tessa and Jem are now engaged, Will is as much in love with her as ever. As those who love Tessa rally to rescue her from Mortmain’s clutches, Tessa realizes that the only person who can save her is herself. But can a single girl, even one who can command the power of angels, face down an entire army? Danger and betrayal, secrets and enchantment, and the tangled threads of love and loss intertwine as the Shadowhunters are pushed to the very brink of destruction in the breathtaking conclusion to the Infernal Devices trilogy.

Oh my god and I thought the previous one brought on all the feels. At one point during this book I was uncontrollably sobbing ugly loud sobs… in other news my husband probably now thinks I’m insane. But that’s alright! If you haven’t read this series, please do! It will be the best thing you read all year, just keep in mind that you will be heartbroken and wrecked and completely and mind blown and all the things all at once. I can’t even wrap my head around the emotions that this book makes me feel. There’s so much action, drama, humour, love, loss (oh boy the loss!!) I hate saying goodbye to these characters. They are the most amazing people ever (yes I do know they’re not real, thanks for pointing out that minor devastating fact) everything about this book and this story was on point. Cassandra Clare is one of the worlds best storytellers in my opinion. She blows me away all the time. Did I mention the ending? Because if that wasn’t the most gut wrenching perfectly amazing ending in the history of series endings, then I don’t know what was. My mind is so all over the place right now because I just finished the book and I can’t even get all my thoughts in the same place. It was so good!! Must read!

I rate this book
