Welcome to Dead House

A First Goosebumps book by R.L. Stine

Description: Josh and Amanda just moved into the oldest, weirdest house on the block–they think it might even be haunted! But their parents don’t believe them. You’ll get used to it, they say. Go out and make some new friends. But the creepy neighborhood kids are not like anyone they’ve ever met before. And when they shortcut through the cemetery one night, Josh and Amanda learn why.

So I’ve decided to catch up on somethings that I missed out on as a child! I feel like literally everyone read these books when they were younger (or at least everyone I know!) I’m not gonna lie, if I would have read this book as a child.. I would have been TERRIFIED!!! I didn’t(and sometimes still don’t) do well with creepy and spooky thriller type of things so I know for a fact, as someone who had nightmares from the maleficent turning into a dragon that blew green fire, that these would have been nightmare inducing. But luckily I’ve grown and I’m better suited to reading ‘thrillers’ now lol! I really enjoyed it, I realize it’s a kids book and it’s super fast and easy to read and quite “lame” if you will but I actually thought it was fun and creepy and I loved every second of reading it. I didn’t see the end coming, my mind was blown. I loved it. And even though it would have kept me awake at night I wish I would have read this when I was younger! I have five more that I got at the book fair so I’ll probably do all of those this week too!!!

I rate this book
