Night of the Living Dummy

A Seventh Goosebumps book by R.L. Stine

Description: when twins Lindy and Kris find a ventriloquist’s dummy in a dumpster, Lindy decides to “rescue” it, and names it Slappy. But Kris is green with envy. It’s not fair. Why does Lindy get to have all the fun and attention? kris decides to get a dummy of her own. She’ll show Lindy. Then weird things begin to happen. Nasty things. Evil things. It can’t be the dummy causing all the trouble, can it?

This guy sucks at naming dogs. Barky? Really? This one was way better than a few of the goosebumps I’ve read so far.. ventriloquist dummies are scary no matter what already. But a creepy story about them just made them all the more terrifying. The story was fun, it’s obvious what’s happening the entire time, but it was so frustrating to see no one believe. Which is what kept me reading! I needed to see if anyone believed her! She annoyed me because she was totally a copycat little whiny twerp. But that’s beside the point, eventually the problem was solved (as good as it usually is in these books) and then at the very end it ended with a cliffhanger! Ahhh I know there’s a second one to this story and I can’t wait to get to it!! But for now I’ll just say, I loved this book! One of the best goosebumps books!

I rate this book

8/10
