Another Collection of short scary stories by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell
Description: More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is a timeless collection of chillingly scary tales and legends. Folklorist Alvin Schwartz offers up some of the most alarming tales of horror, dark revenge, and supernatural events of all time. In this paperback edition, Stephen Gammell’s artwork from the original More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark appears in all its spooky glory. Read if you dare!
Well the illustrations in this version are way, way, waaaaay creepier than in my first one! These are supposed to be children’s books? Holy moly. I see why they remade it with less terrifying drawings. This one too has the notes at the end with the origins and facts and stuff like that which was once again pretty cool. But something about this one, the stories or something… I didn’t really like this one. The stories were odd more than creepy and fun. I wasn’t a huge fan of this one, there was like two or three stories that were okay but that’s not enough to say it was a good book..I would recommend the first one only.
I rate this book
