The First book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater

Description: Sam’s not just a normal boy – he has a secret. During the summer he walks and talks as a human, but when the cold comes, he runs with his pack as a wolf. Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house – but never dreamed that she would fall in love with one of them. Now that they’ve found each other, the clock ticks down on what could be Grace and Sam’s only summer together.

The words in my book were blue. That really threw me off, I wasn’t a fan of that at all. It’s like as if they were faded or not printed fully. It was almost too light blue for my eyes to comfortably read, and I noticed the next ones are green and the ones after are read! Good gravy, Publishers please keep your words black. Okay so as for the story, this chick.. is in love with a wolf. even before she meets him and learns about what he is, she’s obsessed with this yellow eyed wolf. It’s honestly quite weird. Obsessing about him in school, can’t help but dream about him. Refers to him as ‘my wolf’ it’s all super freaking weird to be honest that this teenager is basically in love with an animal. I picked up this book because I heard it was about werewolves (which it kinda is about a type of werewolf I guess, but also kind of really isn’t in a way) and it was based in Minnesota (which is basically kind of almost considered home to me with how often we’ve been) but I HATED it. I wanted to quit reading it super early, It didn’t hold my interest and bored the bejezus out of me right from the beginning. I do have the other two books in my personal library, but I don’t think I’m gonna be able to finish the whole series. It would be a difficult thing for me to do, but I may quit the series.

I rate this book

2/10
