Ahhh! So much grishaverse these last few weeks! With the tv show being released a few weeks ago and this being released just before it! I’m so happy! After watching the show and remembering how much I love this world I decided it was the perfect time to dive into this book!
This damn book made me have all the emotions. I laughed, gasped, I was scared for characters, I was happy for them, I literally sobbed at a part or two (full on ugly sobbing with a headache for the rest of the day type of thing) I was pretty much a hot mess during this book, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
I loved everything about this book! The plot was so intense, there was so much to keep up with between the war, the espionage, trying to forge alliances and keep the grisha safe at the same time, Nina trying to get intel and putting herself in so much danger. Fighting monsters and controlling other ones! Just so much happened, that it’s so hard to process all my thoughts because my mind has turned to jelly.
The characters were just as freaking loveable and amazing as always, we got to see a few different and softer sides of Zoya and we got to see a harder edge to Nikolai. I loved Nina and Hanne’s spunk, and Genya and David! Oh my goodness sweet Genya and David…And I even loved the Darkling in here! I mean I loved him in the other ones too but even though he had quite a bit of a smaller role in this one, he still made a major difference to the story.
If you haven’t read this book or the grisha series then you desperately need to. It’s so freaking good!
Also… side note, I REALLY need to know, is there another book coming out? Does anyone I know? The end hardcore teased another book and I tried researching but I could not find anything!
I rate this book
(I took off a point because… HOW DARE YOU MS.BARDUGO, HOW DARE YOU!!!)
