The Lord of the Rings

The First book in the Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R Tolkien

Synopsis: In a sleepy village in the Shire, a young hobbit is entrusted with an immense task. He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power – the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord Sauron’s evil dominion.

Alright… well this has been my car read for quite awhile, and with it being winter now it makes my car book so damn cold so I’ve been procrastinating finishing it.. then after I did finish it I procrastinated posting it. — I feel like posting has become such a chore lately, hence why I haven’t done it for ever! Sorry guys.

Okay! So here we go, I loved the movies growing up so I decided to give this book a go! This book was so Long, I’ve heard that it was a long and rambling book… but people said that about other books too and that wasn’t true! So I wanted to check it out for myself. But nope, a whole lot of nothing happens!

There were some decent action parts and some funny parts but on the whole there’s a lot of scenery and walking and annoyingness.

There are far too many characters to keep track of…honestly I barely ever remembered who was who (aside from the obvious main ones) otherwise it was just a lot of people and I couldn’t really keep track of what was happening or who was talking half the time.

Overall it wasn’t horrible and it wasn’t great, I will probably continue with the series and read on (since I have them all) but it isn’t on my top priority TBR honestly.

I rate this book

5/10

HAVE A FAMTABULOTASTIC DAY
