The Second book in Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight Series
Storyline: Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The “star-crossed” lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy’s reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.
So I didn’t like this one nearly as much as the first one, the writing I did like though, it is very nice and easy to read….but the issue I had with this book is unfortunately I’m more of a vampire lover, and not so much of a werewolf girl – also I think Jacob is an Asshole so that probably doesn’t help – So this one was a bit less exciting for me. It seemed to start off good, the middle felt like it dragged on forever! Then the ending picked up again.
There was a part or two that gave you some pretty good feels. but aside from that, this one wasn’t as good as the first one.. But I know they get better from here so I will sally forth and move onto the next one!
